Pal Zileri World
As the menswear fashion month comes to an end in Paris, here I am sparing some time to highlight my favourite SS17 collections and events from the last couple of weeks. At the front of the queue will be once again Pal Zileri, as the creative director Mauro Ravizza Krieger wows us again in Milan with his progressive SS17 collection for the house. This season his silk techniques and summer attire really captured my attention while the brand continues to expand rapidly.
Inspired by Italian abstract painter Manlio Rho, Mauro, has created exactly the sort of classy and timeless separates that you want to fill your wardrobe with next summer. The rich colour palette played from papaya orange; to cactus green; to eggplant, which were juxtaposed against each other. Fine tailoring remained at the heart of the collection of Pal Zileri as the brand’s heritage requires, yet the collection looked fresh and perfectly suitable in today’s contemporary streetwear wardrobe. Linen suits were mixed up with leather pants, taffeta parka jackets, lightweight constructions and printed silk shirts. Perfectly suitable for a well traveled, confident man.
