Hitch-hike

Hitchhiking in England can be quite a task! Actually it’s illegal, but mine was definitely a stylish adventure.

Few weeks ago Mr Jeremy Hackett – the man behind the master British brand Hackett – saved me from a long walk back to London and did so with style in his beautiful Aston Martin DB11. Thanks to also my hitchhiking buddy, world-famous violinist Charlie Siem, the waiting was more than fun.

This was the perfect occasion to celebrate the teaming up of the two emblematic British brands, Hackett and Aston Martin, for a special Autumn/Winter 2016 capsule collection the “Aston Martin by Hackett”, the first luxurious clothing and accessories line. This exclusive capsule collection smoothly channels the vibrancy, innovation and quintessential style of both brands.

All pieces from the collection are designed with a meticulous attention to detail in order to stand out and highlight a classical masculine style. It includes outerwear, knitwear, shirts, trousers and accessories all made from luxurious fabrics and crafted for luxury and comfort. My favorite piece, the Italian-made motor leather jacket, made from smooth and soft leather, is absolutely great for a relaxed and comfortable fit. I also loved its minimal and clean line and its special metallic buttons. They are engraved with diagonal cross-hatching, inspired by vintage Aston Martin grills.  How cool is that!

I styled up my leather jacket with a shirt and a Kensington slim chino from the collection, which is absolutely perfect, even for hitchhiking! The soft sued feel is the epitome of luxury and style added flawlessly to a casual outfit.

Aston Martin by Hackett is definitely a one of kind collection! Not often I come across collaborations from symbolic brands that are super modern and innovative. Moreover, this collaboration perfectly mirrors the collection’s manifesto: the activity and the fast-paced reality of a modern gentleman’s lifestyle.
