Time flies so quickly lately. I’ve spent the last couple of days travelling from Iceland to Athens, from Istanbul to Barcelona but I always seem to find time for a dapper stroll in London! You’ve probably read all about my collaboration with IWC in my previous posts and of course the unforgettable night at IWC Schaffhausen Dinner, in honour of the BFI; But this week it’s time to talk about a really special watch from IWC, the Big Pilot’s Annual Calendar Spitfire, launched exclusively in London’s heart – Harrods. A trully sophisticated timepiece drawing inspiration from the single engine fighter aircraft, commissioned by the Royal Air Force in the 1930s. This incredible watch, features a newly developed annual calendar, a seven day power reserve and a special grey dial, that goes all the way back to the fuselage of the Spitfire. It’s made from stainless steel, but it’s lighter than you think and its classy blue alligator strap makes it a must-invest.
I matched this one of a kind timepiece with a Burberry classic black suit, a Brooks Brothers shirt and a classic John Varvatos tie. A pair of double monk strap shoes from Sons of London fitted impeccably with my neat suit style. As a true Londoner for the past ten years, I always carry an umbrella, so I finished my outfit off with a Passoti one.
If you want to define your look for this season and for many seasons to come, you should definitely invest in this watch. Find it exclusively in Harrods in the IWC Schaffhausen Boutique located in the Fine Watch Room and at www.harrods.com
