The Autumn/Winter season is one that I much look forward to every year. It’s an opportunity for me to extend my fashion choices and incorporate influences from around the world – and a mix of shops – into my day-to-day winter wear. This season’s trends are all about hues of grey, deep shades of green, loose tailoring, graphic prints, layering of knits especially a good roll neck jumper and shearling coats to stay warm.

I browse from high street, premium, to luxury brands within Westfield Stratford City and although my individual choices may vary as time passes, the options are always distinctive and diverse so as to never get boring. One of the focal points of my personal style is accessories, I invest in ties, socks, hats and scarves to further express myself, keep my look versatile and to add a subtle touch to my regular sharp and tailored look.

Westfield Stratford City was indirectly hosting fans of the Rugby World Cup being held next door at the Olympic Park, who descended onto the shopping centre to browse, eat, drink and celebrate. I was on a slightly different mission, of the sartorial kind, and browsed Gant, Hawes & Curtis and The Kooples for tailoring accessories.

I finally chose a Davies black wool fedora hat from Reiss which, paired with a denim shirt, grey suit jacket, black tailored trousers and a chelsea boot, added a cool flair to a decidedly understated look. Although you can easily follow the trends, being an individual gentleman is, for me, about going with the style with which you are comfortable and adapting slightly by buying key pieces every season to keep your look modern and fresh.

Being an individual in London is very important to people, there is no ‘uniform’ in this city, people are willing to wear whatever outfit or accessories express their personality on a daily basis. Westfield Stratford City is the perfect place to shop for items that add to and complement your personal style. From White City to Stratford, the range of options that the Westfield shopping centres offer caters directly to those with unique style preferences.
