A sky full of Stars
Last week, my photographer and I were lucky enough to be invited to Dubai Motor Show to witness the reveal of Cadillac XT5. A seemingly magical place with a breathtaking cityscape and futuristic architecture, Dubai offered us a chance to work from a 35 degree climate, explore this northern area of the UAE and best of all, spend time at the world famous Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.
The Burj Al Arab is a direct nod to Dubai’s nautical history, with the distinctive sail-shaped silhouette being the centrepiece of modern Dubai. The 7 star rating may be a legend but the welcome you receive upon arrival and the impeccable service matches up to the rumours. Everything at the Burj Al Arab is thought of, from the complimentary Hermés toiletries in the bathrooms to being picked up in one of the largest chauffeur-driven fleet Rolls Royces.
The decadent hotel provided endless inspiration and photo opportunities from the decadent suite we had the pleasure of staying in, the crystal clear views over the city to the remarkable swimming pools.
A highlight of the stay was our dinner at the Al Mahara restaurant, one of nine available at the hotel, set in a floor-to-ceiling aquarium with colourful sea animals swimming beside you whilst you eat your special meal prepared by award-winning chefs from around the world.
Aside from what you can eat, drink and do at the Burj, there are many opportunities for fun in the sun whilst in Dubai. Set away from the city, the desert provides guests and visitors with a different Arabian experience, one where you can go on a morning or evening desert safari, go dune bashing, camel riding or bike across the sand.
Thank you to the Burj Al Arab and Cadillac for your generosity. Stay tuned for more adventures for Dubai coming up this week!
