Milan has received me with open arms! What better way to start my Milanese journey than with the Fendi AW 17-18 show. Although based here, Fendi has never been compelled to follow the norms of the Italian simplicity. This year’s show was no exception as it projected a playful, electric and unapologetic attitude. Colours, textures and slogans counterplayed with the concept of sportswear inspired silhouettes and dressing with ease. As a result the show presented positive vibes in the spirit of optimism, which I in turn applaud!
I do so with a poppy coloured checkered poloneck and a striking leather backpack by the Italian luxury fashion house Fendi. I completed the look by wearing Etro trousers in an earthy tone and boots by Santoni. This outfit could be easily described as pushing the boundaries of minimalist Milan, especially due to the colour of the knitwear and the abstract Matisse-like face in the primary colours that is featured on my impeccably designed black leather bag. As expected, Modernism and Milan go hand in hand. Progressive yet crisp and clean, the show inspired me to act appropriately! “Ever up and onward!”
