The Watch Man
Is it true that a watch makes the man? Well, I believe that a man’s watch can definitely tell who you are and what you are about. To watch lovers it will come to no surprise that as a man who likes clean lines and a timeless look, I’m excited to announce my partnership with IWC for a series of stories. At the age of 28, it is a privilege to be part of the IWC family and friends of the brand and yet to stand as the opportunity to represent the company’s vision in the digital age.
For the watch enthusiasts among you, quintessentially Swiss that oozes elegance, IWC is a brand that has been in my radar for quite a while and needs no introduction. The history and heritage behind every hand-made watch is hypnotizing, there is something magical about them that I personally look forward exploring with you all.
This special story, shot in 22 Tite Street (a stunning and generously 6-bedroom family house in Chelsea- Thanks to nu:builds) features probably the ultimate legend of all the iconic IWC watches, The Portofino hand-wound big date watch. The timepiece is a reminiscence of the fishing village of Portofino in the late 1970s, inspiringly classic with a distinctive signature, the pinnacle of haute horlogerie. As time moves on, the dial is constant, eternal, infinite and simply the black alligator Santoni leather strap compliments the dial perfectly. To a great journey together…
