Romanticism
Speaking of gusto, what could be more appropriate? I made my way to Florence, strolling through its narrow streets and delighting in the rejuvenating spirit of the Renaissance. With its cultural richness and magnetic romanticism, Florence is the birthplace of excellent craftsmanship and the inspiration for timeless italian taste and fine dressing. It is the ideal location to host the world’s most important platform for men’s clothing and accessory collections, Pitti Uomo, which celebrates 91 this year!
I am happy to be back in Florence for this prime occasion, which gives me the opportunity to draw inspiration from the city itself as well as the shows. I choose to wear a Hardy Amies’s suit paired with a Canali silk tie in a diagonal striped pattern, for a tailored appearance, heavily influenced by the italian dress code. My Polo Ralph Lauren double breasted coat in a camel hue offers the right amount of colour balance to the outfit. I top it off with exquisite italian shoe creations made by Sutor Mattelasi and crafted from the finest of materials. The long family tradition of high quality detailing is apparent from the shoelaces to the sole. A good impression or as the italians prefer to say “la bella figura” , remains a driving concept deeply rooted in my own style and aesthetic. Thank you Florence! Until next time!
