The Globemaster

As you may be aware, I’m currently in Los Angeles after spending two incredible weeks in Rio de Janeiro. During my stay in LA, I was delighted to be invited by OMEGA for ‘an evening of mastery’ on Tuesday night at Mack Sennett Studios (one of the original silent movie stages), to celebrate the launch of the World’s First Master Chronometer, the Globemaster. The glamorous event, which was attended by OMEGA ambassador and Academy Award winning actor Eddie Redmayne, had it all. Both Eddie and OMEGA President Mr. Stephen Urquhart, spoke warmly about OMEGA’s rich legacy and proudly on the release of the Globemaster, a new era in watchmaking.

The Globemaster is the first OMEGA timepiece to emerge from this new Master Chronometer testing standards; set by the fiercely independent Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), are the toughest in the industry, comprised of 8 rigorous tests over 10 days.  A truly unique piece for the classic but also modern man.
