Favourably casual and effortlessly cool… that’s probably the only way to survive this weird beginning of September in London. It may be perhaps the commonly known British weather, but this week has been surprisingly unusual. Sunshine and drastic showers have been playing a daily exchange game while my looks are giving and taking every hour. I took a chance and had some fun with this light blue quilted waistcoat and a piece of matching knitwear. There are many different ways to wear quilted outerwear, depending on your personal style or the occasion. For instance, I find that this BOSS one looks smart inside or on top of my double breasted jacket,  which is a neat trick to pull off. Yet another way to take a less conservative approach is by wearing it open over a shirt and a pair of slim tailored trousers.

Whatever form it’s in, the quilted waistcoat remains a piece of outerwear perfectly suitable for the time being that will see you effortlessly through the transition to autumn/winter. It’s designed to keep you warm, cool, dry and effortlessly smart. Discover more outwear pieces HERE.
