I immersed myself last weekend in timeless English history and tradition. The Goodwood festival is a Gentleman’s dream; vintage racing cars are all paraded at one of the most upscale and prestigious classic car events in the world. And above all the festival has been conceived as a more modern reunion for the drivers and collectors but still maintains its 50’s & 60’s feel.

To celebrate the 74th reunion, IWC has designed 3 very special and limited edition watches in concordance with this festival. The “Ingenieur timepieces” are inspired from vintage race cars, and this collection is deeply rooted in the 50’s races but also from IWC’s ingenuity and creations back in the day. The 3 watches are the Ingenieur Chronograph Edition “74th Members’ Meeting at Goodwood”, the Ingenieur Chronograph Edition “Rudolf Caracciola” and the Ingenieur Chronograph Edition “W 125” each one of them takes its inspiration after a particular car, its design, its features or colors. Available to view HERE

To top of a beautiful day on the private grounds of Lord March on the Goodwood Estate in Chichester, where the festival takes place, I got to test drive one of the cars. A true gentleman’s club: luxury timepieces, vintage cars and English countryside. Lucky me! Right?
