Few days ago, Prague received me for a delightful work weekend. I was completely enamoured by the architecture of the city – much like anyone who firsts visits the city – the amazing food culture, and the warm exuberance of the people of Prague.

Prague is a city that wears its history on its sleeve, giving us a complete tour through its history through the surviving architecture. From its colourful, high buildings to its pristine churches and the world-famous Old Town Hall & Astronomical Clock, the city moves seamlessly from gothic and renaissance architecture to baroque, art nouveau and communist style with ease. Frank Gehry even manages to invoke new-baroque into the city with Dancing House. I drew much inspiration from being immersed in such a culture-rich city.

It is almost impossible to describe the feeling of being in Prague, it’s one you must experience for yourself. Having had a busy week reviewing the year with the TGB team, I had a pleasant mini-break taking relaxing walks nearby the Vltava river and riding a Vespa around town. I so enjoyed seeing everyone zipping around on a Vespa, that I felt like doing the same!

Hopefully, next time I visit I will be able to indulge in the classical history of the city and see (and hear) for myself the Prague Symphony Orchestra live.
