A year sometimes seems like a long period of time and other times it seems to go by so quickly! 2015 has been an eventful year; for myself personally, for The Gentleman Blogger as a platform and for men’s fashion globally. Many milestones have been reached throughout the year; from returning back to London after a year of traveling, my first-ever cover in Hello! magazine to surpassing 100,000 followers on Instagram and our first party for our 3 years anniversary. I’ve worked on some incredible brand campaigns and partnerships for The Gentleman Blogger which I’m very grateful for the experiences they offered, from Dolce & Gabbana, Coach, Dsquared2, Ralph Lauren, Fendi, Chopard and Mini Clubman just to highlight a few. Thank you for all your support, we couldn’t do this without your digital teams. A great year has passed; another great year awaits! Also, to all my readers thank you so much for all your great support and loyalty for over 3 years now. We could not have accomplished anything this feat without you!

Here’s a look at the top posts for 2015!

  1. #MyDubai: Our stay in Dubai for the launch of the Cadillac XT5, was one of the highlights of the year. Beautiful beaches, service, decor and fine dining makes Dubai a must-see for any gentleman.

  1. Cool War: American heritage brand Coach officially launched their men’s ready-to-wear in the UK this year and I came on as UK menswear ambassador to get Coach’s aspirations across to readers in the UK. My favourite piece, the Olive Green Cotton-Blend Bomber Jacket, carries me through London’s windy & rainy season  that I am wearing carries the feeling of fall through its irreverent American style whilst staying functional for the everyday gentleman.

  1. 100k Thank You: Instagram has been invaluable to me over the past year. I post in a personal capacity, staying true to my style choices and was able to amass 100,000 followers. I am grateful to be able to share my authentic lifestyle with my followers on the platform.

  1. Custom Made Flair: My visit to Milan in June offered me a chance to get reinspired with emerging designers within fashion, after visiting WHITE – an international contemporary fashion showcase fair. I was left inspired after coming up-close and personal with the next generation of designers, artists and stylists.

  1. The Fendi Hero: Fendi somehow manages to wow me every season. Something about the craftsmanship, their love of fashion as art, and their ability to source materials and turn them into the utmost luxurious pieces whilst remaining fun as a fashion house takes my breath away every single season. Roll on the next MFW.

  1. Launch: In June, The Gentleman Blogger turned three years old. We also reached one million views on the site, turning TGB into the UK’s No1 Menswear Blog. Going from height to height, TGB updated its site design to reflect the more nuanced discussion that we aimed to have around menswear in the UK. We launched with a shoot inspired by Caravaggio, the Italian painter.

  1. Super Blue: Want to stay cool in a suit during hot weather? There’s no need to dress down, I gave readers my top four tips for staying fresh in a suit despite the summer weather. Light colours, lightweight material are a tried and tested technique for ensuring you’re comfortable in summer. I show how it’s done in Ralph Lauren.

  1. Arrivederci Firenze: Florence is without a doubt one of the most scenically magnificent places in Italy, if not the world. Pitti Uomo offers a chance to not only see the top future fashion designs but a chance to visit my favourite restaurant & bars. Great for a dose of great food & amazing historical culture.

I’ve lived a life that’s full
I’ve traveled each and every highway
But more, much more than this
I did it my way…
