I started working in fashion at 17 when I was still at school. It was more a curiosity than a career. Then, when I reached 20, it got to a point where fashion was an expression of who I am. Today I’m the kind of person that will stand in front of the mirror every morning, put on a crisp white shirt and play with the tie knot for about ten-fifteen minutes. I find it very hard to change my habits. I can express myself a lot better through dressing up than I can through dressing down. When I’m buttoned up, I feel empowered, and can get my day points across effectively. It’s no effort, no work, no saving time or money. Its all about my individual style.

Last week, the Westfield team invited me to share my secrets to my individual style and what individual style means to me (find the article here), I was also delighted to be photographed by fashion photographer and art director Brendan Freeman at a pop-up studio in Westfield London. Including style mavens, trend eccentrics, fashionistas, celebrities, stylists and fellow bloggers, we all selected a word that sums up our individual style which featured in the shot. I chosen “sharp” as it includes clean, easy, classic and dapper in ti!

Brendan’s work includes Wallpaper*, Mr Porter, Wonderland, GQ and other publications but more importantly his renowned work captures not only the usual editorial format but highlights individuality, something beautifully unexpected.

Westfield’s Marketing Director of UK & Europe, Mr. Ryan, said: “London is the epicentre of individual style. “With this in mind, we wanted to create a multi-dimensional campaign that our consumers could relate to by celebrating unique and distinctive style.” What a great way to celebrate individual style this season!

It was so much fun to work with Brendan and we had a blast on set with the Westfield team. Here’s a little look at what happened behind the scenes during the shoot but also the individual style shots by Brendan.  All the images will be at the exhibition from the 2nd – 4th October, 2015 (8am – 6:30pm) – Soho Square.
