I often get asked, “how do you beat the heat in a suit?” Heat is no excuse for not looking your best and dressing down doesn’t necessary mean you feel cooler when the temperatures rise. Here are my 4 tips for making sure you stay fresh in your suit despite the summer hear! Step 1, always choose suits in a lightweight material (cotton and linen are ideal) to keep the heat away from your body. These materials are breathable and comfortable and give you the high-comfort you need. Step 2, choose light colours, such as navy, light blue, light grey and pastels because they absorb less heat. Step 3, you will stay a lot cooler, if you choose an unlined jackets. Lastly, lighten up your necktie, unbutton your topmost shirt button so your shirt is more breathable and keep cool by maintaining your sharp look even in the summer. I also think that linen is the perfect material for summer/spring suits.
