A few days ago, I had the pleasure to visit Brescia in Italy for the legendary Mille Miglia race. In partnership with Chopard, for almost 30 years now, Mille Miglia is an exceptional event, combining tradition with innovation, creativity and elegance while connecting all car lovers all over the world in a beautiful scenery.

Brescia’s great passion for motor vehicles prompted by the end of the nineteenth century and the timed uphill race known as the Mille Miglia (International Rally 1000 Miles) encompasses all the races that that have taken place in  Brescia’s territory from 1899 to today. For your reference, the car models that can enter the Mille Miglia are those of which at least one specimen took part in one of the speed editions (1927-1957), took part in the original race, or completed the registration formalities for one of these editions. If you’re a sport fan, I’m sure you can imagine walking in this indescribable beauty of vintage cars heaven! I was honestly blown away!

Honourably, Chopard has been a partner to the Mille Miglia classic car race and official timekeeper since 1988, and this year inspired by the speed machines having taken part in “la corsa più bella del mondo” between 1940 and 1957 presented the Mille Miglia 2015 Race Edition timepieces. This exceptional watch edition is issued in limited series of 1,000 in steel and 100 in rose gold and bears a power-reserve indicator reminiscent of a petrol gauge, along with a flaming “Rossa Corsa” red dial and oversized numerals evoking typical 1950s dashboards. The perfect match for a knowledgable and dapper driver. Discover more about the passion of Chopard for the Mille Miglia, click HERE
