During my recent trip to Florence, I visited Bardini Villa – currently holding an exhibition called “Aldo Fallai. From Giorgio Armani to the Renaissance” which pays tribute to the great photographer with a creative path made of more than 200 spectacular photos from 1978 to 2013.
Aldo Fallai is recognised for his photographic campaigns for Giorgio Armani, central to his work, but also images that marked the golden years of Made in Italy products in the late 70s and 80s. His black and white work is fascinating as he captures beautifully seductive women in Armani’s iconic suits – a symbol of revolution for the Italian designer.
Hope you enjoy me selection of images from the exhibition and get to research his work further. “Aldo Fallai. From Giorgio Armani to the Renaissance” runs until the 14th of March at The Bardini Museum and Villa, Florence.
